Service Description

Learn the methodology, history, and application of brass sound bowl therapy. Led by Christian Lannie, this course dives into the purpose of each bowl and how the tonality affects the human mind and body. Hands on application will allow course participants to practice playing the bowls and which techniques best suits their overall style. The course includes an immersive sound bath session as well as a complimentary Himalayan Salt Cave session. (Salt cave session can be scheduled before or after the course). An Overview of the Course: Along with the brief history and overview, this course will walk you through the practical knowledge of working with sound or singing bowls. You will learn how to differentiate between the bowls, how to play multiple singing bowls, how to choose your mallet or strike, and how to play it in the most professional way. We will also compare and contrast the influence of the geometry of the bowls' on their sonic characteristics, and many more interesting subjects. The curriculum is designed for beginner-level students. This course provides 3 CEU credits to Yoga Alliance Registered Instructors. What are the requirements for the course? This is a beginner friendly training. No previous experience working with singing bowls or other musical and ritual instruments is needed. This course is designed for: ● Anyone looking for sound bowl courses for beginners ● Anyone interested in how sound bowls improve mental, emotional and physical health ● Anyone already serving sound as a therapeutic or healing modality, and wanting to expand or refresh the field of your expertise. ● Reiki practitioner, massage or acupuncture therapist, or yoga instructor that wants to incorporate sound wellness tools in your practice. ● This course offers 3 CEUs for registered yoga teachers.
