JENNIE BEANE

Yoga Instructor, RYT 200

I began my yoga journey over 15 years ago.  As a group fitness instructor, I realized the changes in fitness and sought to keep up.  I began with basic Mat work, a combination of yoga and Pilates.  I began to feel more comfortable with Yoga and wanted to increase my knowledge.  After several weekend workshops, I wanted to explore Yoga in more depth.  This led me to my 240 hour training at Neighborhood Yoga in Boone.  There I studied with an Iyengar trained mentor and began to love the way props brought me to fulfillment in asana.  My quest has led me to continue to explore other areas of Yoga, studying and completing courses in Pre-natal yoga and Back Care Yoga.  I then branched out to Thai Yoga Bodywork, studying with Michael Sitzer in Asheville and completing his Basic Course, Therapeutic, Advanced and Table Thai courses.  All of this has helped me offer Yoga to Every Body at a level where they can feel successful.

BONNIE BRADFORD

Yoga Instructor, RYT 500

Bonnie's yoga journey began "later" in life when she was pregnant with her first daughter in 2005.  After a 20+ year career in a corporate environment, she realized her health had been sacrificed. Bonnie is a student of life and loves to learn anything and everything, including deepening her yoga practice, eventually becoming a E-500-hour RYT and also running an annual 200-hour RYS.  Once COVID hit and she had to close her studio in Hickory, she used the time as an opportunity to expand her practice into a Chopra Ayurveda Lifestyle Instructor, as well as becoming a Yoga Sports Coach.  One quote that will forever stay in her heart is "It is not only a privilege to be a yoga instructor, but a responsibility to use this platform to serve others."  Courtesy of Seane Corn.

LAURA FORD HUBER

Yoga Instructor

Laura found a serious yoga practice after a solo cross country move in 2007, finding a presence and connection that she had never experienced before. Her desire to share this joy began with a teacher training at a non-traditional yoga studio, which fueled the fire to find her voice and her own teaching style through extensive studies, trainings, retreats and admirable teachers. Finding her way back to the Appalachias in 2018, with her horticultural background and partner, Dustin's  Nebraskan ancestral roots in ranching - they set out on a mission to reconnect and contribute to the overall health and awareness to a healthy ecosystem by starting a Bioregional Herbal Growing Forest Farm -Embracing Ground - their own peaceful, healing space. Laura says she is fulfilling her dharma by encouraging others towards their own transformational journey of healing and empowerment through the art of yoga and natural medicine.

PAUL MOTTEN

Yoga Instructor, RYT 200

"I started learning yoga in 2012 and quickly fell in love with the lifestyle and philosophy.  Yoga encompasses all aspects of life, and many of the things we do on the mat can be understood as analogies for how we go about our daily lives, interact with others, and how we treat ourselves.

My practice is largely Hatha-based, which emphasizes balance--sun and moon, masculine and feminine, effort and effortlessness.  This balance is achieved through using mind, body and breath.  I like to keep class light-spirited and playful, because I believe that yoga should be uplifting, interesting, and fun.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in May of 2022, and I'm glad for the opportunity to share the benefits of yoga with all of you.
